Kamael (our co-founder and COO) and I met in 1997 on our first day at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, ironically during employee training. She had just graduated from Barnard College and I had completed my BS in Economics at Carnegie Mellon University. As both kids of immigrant parents and die-hard New Yorkers, we quickly bonded and became good friends.
Our careers shifted away from consulting and Kamael went on to work in finance, tech, and social impact. In this podcast, she shares the journey that led her to People First, her thoughts on discrimination and bias and ideas on how we can create a more just and equitable world.
